A periodontist for Snohomish and Lake Stevens, a short drive up the road.

If you live in Snohomish or Lake Stevens and your dentist has mentioned gum disease, receding gums, or a missing tooth, you don't have to go far for specialist care. Dr. Ben Choi and our team serve Snohomish and Lake Stevens from our office at 1533 Grove St in Marysville, a short drive up the road.

We focus on one thing: keeping your gums healthy and your smile strong. Whether you need a deep cleaning, a gum graft, or a dental implant, we'll explain your options in plain language and work closely with your regular dentist.

What the work looks like

Dr. Ben Choi, DMD, MSD, is a periodontist, which means he's a dentist with advanced training in treating gums, the bone around teeth, and dental implants. He completed his periodontics training at the University of Washington, is a Kois Specialist Graduate, and serves as UW Affiliate Faculty. Learn more about Dr. Choi.

Care We Offer Snohomish & Lake Stevens Patients

  • Gum disease treatment. Bleeding, puffy, or tender gums can be early signs of gum disease. Left alone, it can lead to loose teeth and tooth loss. Dr. Choi is LANAP® certified, a gentle laser treatment for gum disease, and also offers deep cleanings and other treatments based on what you need. See our periodontal care.

  • Gum grafts for receding gums. When gums pull back, teeth can look longer and feel sensitive to cold. A gum graft rebuilds the gumline to cover exposed roots and protect your teeth. Learn about gum grafts.

  • Dental implants. An implant is a strong, natural-feeling replacement for a missing tooth. We start with 3D imaging and careful planning, then coordinate with your dentist for the final crown. If your bone or gums need a little help first, we can take care of that here too. Explore dental implants.

Do I need a referral from my dentist?

Not always. Many patients come through their dentist, but you're welcome to call us directly at 360-386-5055 to ask about a consultation.

What does a periodontist do that my regular dentist doesn't?
